I had a kitty wander up this morning. She's a skinny little calico and she' pretty flea bitten. I saw her when I was walking the dog the other day and if the puppy would have let me I would have pet her. She's a little spit fire though. I let the dog out this morning and kitty was in the backyard. She stood her ground against the dog, but my dog thought she was a toy and grabbed the back of her head like she used to with a cat I watched for a while. Kitty freaked out and put herself up a tree. I put the dog up and then called the kitty out of the tree. I got her out and set her down and that was it. She's been following me around ever since when I'm outside. She was so skinny I couldn't help but feed her and I think we have a new kitty. I can't bring her in. She has fleas and god knows what else and I just can't put my cats through the addition of another animal...plus I just can't afford the vet bills for another cat. She needs to be spayed, get her shots, and the whole nine yards. I'm hoping I can fatten her up and get her healed up (she's been in some fights and has a spot above her tail that's growing back in ????) so I can find her a home. I hope someone will take her. She's soooo sweet and just wants to love all over me.

Oh I bet she is so happy to have someone feed & love her. You know, Johnsons baby shampoo kills fleas if you get brave & want to try to bathe her. Maybe there are low cost spay-neuter programs in your area? A call to the shelter & they might be able to inform you--
Best of luck with placing her, who knows, maybe she'll grow on you more....

awww, wouldn't it be great if all these cute fuzzy lil animals could have a loving home ??

I hope you are able to help kitty find one of those homes, I bet she thanks you for the care you have shown her already.
