View Full Version : Renaissance man gets a buddy!

As some of you know, I've been posting the continuing saga of Renaissance Man (a.k.a. my husband - Mr. Peanut) and the costumes I've been working on for him for the Ren Faires in the area. Well, last week, after almost a year of working on various things, Renaissance Man got a buddy. Or at least his buddy got clothes.

I'm very, very proud of this one. He told me he would go to the Faire if he could be Captain Morgan. Now, I know Captain Morgan is not exactly.... period-correct, but if it means we all can go to the Faire dressed, I was all over that.

So, here's the pic of the Captain Morgan coat. There's also a shirt (of course) that I don't have pictures of, and black pants that I still have to put hardware (waist fasteners, etc.) on as soon as I convince myself to just sit down and do it.

Cheers!

Too neat! It looks kind of colonial style. Maybe you get get him to wear a powdered wig, tights and high heels?

Sweeeet.

Now you just need the long hair and the dashing mustache, with the frilly shirt underneath!

Which reminds me... what am I going to wear to Ren Faire? :ponder:

Oh, you don't know how funny that would be. He's such the jeans and t-shirt guy. It's going to be interesting when he finally wears it. It's about a million times nicer than the clothes he normally wears. (Think: jeans and t-shirt to the ballet.)

If I can convince him to pose, I'll post one more picture of him actually wearing it. :)

Wow, you are so talented!! I'm totally impressed! I bet you both will look great at the next ren faire(speaking of which I didn't see any advertisments for the usual faire at 'case de frutis' by gilroy,I'm assuming last year truly was the 'last' year) :(

Not true. It's just under new management. Was there two days ago and it was fantastic. Can't wait to go back. :)
