The responses to my questions about sodium hydroxide as a saponifier in handmade shampoo ( :flowers: thanks to those of you who pitched in here) -- combined with the insane itching i've got all over my body, in spite of having stopped using soap anywhere but what someone cleverly called crevices -- are leading me to consider getting a showerhead that filters and softens water. (how's that for a long sentence :silly: ?) my skin felt way better while I was out on Vancouver Island, where the water is softer than it is here.

Anybody had any experience with these showerheads? Got any advice or recommendations?

We use a Multi-Pure Filter (http://www.multipure.com/shower.htm). It works great.
