My cousin called me frantic the other day. A couple of weeks ago someone dumped 3 kittens at her house. She had been feeding them and I think had decided to keep them for her daughter. But they were very skittish and my cousin was having a hard time taming them.
Then, the neighbors dog attacked one of the kittens. Right in front of my cousin and her daughter (who is 10). They had to rush the kitten to the vet but nothing could be done and the kitten was euthanised. The next day a second kitten was missing and did not return to eat that afternoon.
She called me (the local stray rescue lady  ) and asked if I would give her a cage to take the remaining kitten to the pound. I couldn't stand the thought as the local shelter euthanises about 85-90% of animals taken in. So I volunteered to take the kitten and find it a home.
He is gray and very sweet. Only took about 1 day of petting and getting scritches to get him to come around. Now you almost can't get rid of him......
Here is a pic. Isn't he a cutie?? He doesn't have a name as I am trying not to keep him. My housecat is in hiding and only comes out long enought to hiss and spit at him. She is ticked!

I also took a pic of my big, scary doberman and my daughter. It is too cute to leave out so I'll post it here for you guys to see!
