;) I'm so happy to find this board! I've had long hair and the shortest of short and I'm ready to go back to long! I'm thirty-five years old and I'm looking forward to wear my hair long for life. This will be no easy task since I have not grown it past my chin for at least 15 years!

Oh, one request! I like to tell newbies about a "promise" I made myself when I started growing out, and it has helped tremendously! I promised myself I would not do any drastic change (cut or chemical changes) until I wanted it for 2-3 weeks WITHOUT wavering!! IF, during that time period, I liked my hair as it is, then I had to start the 2-3 week period over again! Well, it's worked for me! I've gone from barely waist length to tailbone . . . creeping toward classic length! :)
