I would like to share this story with you. It has really touched my heart.
I am a college student in Minnesota. If you live in Minnesota or Wisconsin, you may have already heard of this story.
This is the story as best as i know it:
Right before my spring break was to start, I was watching the news and saw a tragic story about a car accident. Because of poor weather, a semi truck jackknifed on ice and hit a car, ripping the top off, killing the husband and wife that were in the driver and passenger seat. I saw the picture of the car on the tv and it was horrible. The troopers had noticed that there was a blanket and sippy cup in the back seat but didn't think much of it. When more troopers arrived on the scene, one of the troopers, who was pregnant, said that her instincts were telling her that there must have been a child in the back(because of the blanket and sippy cup). Troopers told her that she was probably wrong, but she wouldn't give up. She demanded there be a search. When she began to look around, she noticed a flash of pink color (it was finally light enough out to see). She walked towards the color and finally came upon a little two year old girl. She had no shoes on and was cuddled next to a tree. There was a half inch of snow convering her. She had to cross two lanes of highway to get to where she was hiding. She had been out there for about three hours in freezing weather, but managed to make it out with only a scratch on her head. She was the daughter of the two that were killed in the accident. Many people believe that it is her parents' spirits that guided the little girl away from the dangerous accident and kept her safe and warm next to the tree.
I wanted to share this story with you because when i got to school today, my instructor told us that the mother who had been killed was a girl we knew. I had a class with her and i remember that she was always smiling. The little girl is truly a miracle. Despite the fact that this was a horrible accident, something wonderful came out of it. A healthy little girl that was amazingly unharmed. Here is a website about it:

How sad for the little girl! I can't imagine how traumatic! Luckily she's very young and I've heard that very young children get over trauma much faster than say you or I. How sad though!

It IS very sad, especially for the little girl. Thankfully, she is now living with her aunt, who will raise her. Her aunt says that she doesn't seem to remember anything that happened. I feel really bad for all of them:(
