I've been awol from here for a while. Gosh there is a lot to catch up on. Hope I can do it! Last week my mom fell and broke her wrist and had to have surgery to repair 2 badly broken bones. She got out of the hospital on Friday and was taken to the care center part of the retirement home where she lives. Then on Friday night she had a heart attack and was back in the hospital and almost didn't make it that night. I am out here in Michigan now doing what I can for her. Much stress here if you can imagine. I'm staying at my brother's who finally got the internet this last summer. So at least I can check in here a little bit and get away from the hospital scene. My mom is doing much better today and is expected to be in a regular hospital room tomorrow. Today she wanted help with her hair and make up before the doctor came to see her so I know she is feeling better.

I'm hoping I can be on line here a little in the evenings. It's nice to have one normal thing going on right now :D So that's where I've been. Planning to stay until Saturday if all goes well. Wanted to let you guys know I've missed hanging out here a lot and hope to be back in the swing of posting again soon. :D

OMG, Carolyn! I am SO SORRY! It seems like everyone's going through these rough spots right now - I wonder what's going on?!

I'll be praying for your mom, too. I think that's adorable, that she wanted you to help with her hair before the doctor came to see her. Yes, you can tell they're perking up when they're concerned with such things.

Thank you everyone for your kind words and prayers. I know it helps. My mom got to go to a regular room today so that's good. She was very tired when I left tonight so will be anxious to know how she did overnight. I got a good night's much needed sleep last night and feel much more like myself. Even went to a Sally's today as it's near the hospital. I've been able to visit with 2 of my girlfriends and that's been nice. One went with me to visit tonight and I think my mom enjoyed seeing her. We've been buds since 2nd grade so we go waaaaay back. Thanks again for all the concern. You guys are so great!
