Gee... thanks, Amazon. You couldn't just try completing the entire song in your head first, could you?? :D

Great. Thank you. Now I do, too.

I've tried all of those things mentioned to get rid of "earworms" (anybody else grossed out at that term?). I'm also part of the 14% who try to complete the song in my head in an effort to get rid of it. Can't say that it always works, but it makes me feel like I'm doing something.

Excuse me. I need to go load a CD.

That's so cool, I'm glad someone did research on that one. I currently have the track Renault are using to advertise the Megane "I see you baby, shakin' dat ass" .......whatever that is....... Now it's really annoying. I like the term earworms as well. It reminds me of the term "finger monster" which my friend Robin used to use to describe those days when you can't type for toffee.

Earworms *hehehehehehehehe*

Earworms? :puke:

I avoided reading it at first.

Cool subject, didn't know there was a name for it. Mine is ABBA's Mama Mia only because I went to the show last week.

Usually it is John Denver's Grandma's Feather Bed. :)

Oh, for cryin' out loud! I didn't click the link because I thought that I would see someone's ear with, well...an earworm in it. :puke:

Nope, no thanks...I don't think I'll click on the link. I've got that stupid Who Let the Dogs Out song stuck in my head just from you mentioning it. Thank you. LOL

THANKS Amazon

You evil thing you!!!!!! I wake up at least 2 days a week with a song playing over and over in my head!!!! (and I wake up to just a beepy type alarm clock . . . no radio tunes for me!)

and I found these quotes interesting!

"Slightly neurotic people also seemed to suffer more." Since women are most frequently bothered by earworms, the I guess that means, <wiping brow> that I am NOT neurotic . . . I'll consider "neurotic" as a DIFFERENT catagory from just being female! ;) hahahahahaahahahahahaahah

Also, it said, "Women are more likely to try to get rid of the offending ditties. Men are just as likely to do nothing as to fight their earworms. " could it be because men don't LISTEN!?!?!?!?! hahahahaahahahahahaha

MANY apologies to our wonderful men out there! I just HAD to get that dig in there! hahahahaah Ya'll DO put up with a lot from us dames, don't you! ;) (((hugs)))

I get those all the time! all I have to do is read a title to a song and I'm in trouble!

On a similar topic, sometimes I DREAM a song that I've never heard before, in detail, like a recording. I'm not a musician, but my husband is and he says that means I have musical ability?

So...now I'll be singing the Chili's jingle!
