work due to the time you've spent on your hair (or make-up) before leaving home?

Nope.

I've been late because I got up late and refuse to go to work without taking my shower and complete the rest of the routine though.

Occasionally. I don't do make-up during the day, but sometimes my hair won't cooperate no matter what and I miss a subway train or two. I'm self employed though so no big deal, and if I have an appointment or a meeting I usually plan enough time for unexpected delays of any kind.

Not that I can recall. I am, however, routinely 5 or so minutes late because I sit on my duff drinking coffee and watching tv for far too long before getting ready! :?

Hah, kinda like me. I'm never late because of my hair- I usually just stick it in a bun and then do a new style at work or something like that. But I DO linger far too long with my horses in the morning. They're like magnets that I can't get away from.

"I'm sorry Jim, but I will not be into work today, because I cannot find my clothes!...... well I appreciate your concern, but I think if I can find my house they'll be near there." ~Jeff Foxworthy (and no this has never happened to me! ;) )

Thats me too.
I can deal with no make up. That's what a compact and gloss in my purse are for

I don't wear makeup, and I don't know any elaborate hairstyles, so, in a word, "No." However, I used to be frequently late back when I slept with my hair loose because it took so long to untangle. LHC, I thank you, and my professors thank you. ;)

No. I have everything I need in my purse so if I'm running behind, I can do my hair and makeup when I get to work. It doesn't take me long unless I'm having an unusually bad hair day and nothing seems to work.

LOL, nope! Especially not in the last 10-15 years!!

For the last 2 years, I've done my hair and make up in the car!! (long commute with many lights)! LOL

I was late once because of my hair but it was extenuating circumstances. I had heavily oiled my hair the night before and I didn't have to be to work until 11 am. So the plan was to get up at 7 and wash and have a nice morning at home. Well I live on a freakin farm with a well that provides the water. Yuck. I got up that morning and no water. Turns out the motor had burned out on the pump. Now get this....they put in a new well about 5 years ago but didn't put a new motor on the pump because it was still working. It had only been there since the 50s. Why would it stop working? About 9 o'clock I figure out there isn't going to be any water that morning. I can take a sponge bath with my distilled water so that is ok. I call the beauty school and see if I can get a wash and dry to get the oil out. I was such a greaser the pins would have slipped out of a bun. I call work and explain that I'll be a little late. It wasn't too bad I was only a half hour late. But boy did I hear about that one for a while. I should have just done the greasy girl thing and lived with it.

I have been. Sometimes it's cuz my 'do won't stay up, and sometimes it's cuz it takes me forever to detangle...

Nope, but I routinely go to work with wet or damp hair, and/or no makeup(I'm young, how much could I need?). My slick hair is easier to style wet, and it's just as well because the air there is quite dry. I only wear make-up when my face is particularly broken-out, or if I'm going 'out'

Nope . . . not while I am driving!!! Only while sitting at a 3 minute light or 2 (or three, or four) <sigh>

GUILTY!!!!!

I do my hair and make-up every day. (Yup, even weekends! What can I say? I'm vain! LOL) :D

I always eat breakfast last, that way if I'm running late and have to give up something, I'll still look good when I get to work! (Do I have skewed priorities, or what?)

I'm no less vain than anyone else. I may spend little time on hair and makeup most days but I obviously spend a lot of time thinking about how I look, otherwise I wouldn't be at this site so much ;)
