I just could not come up with a clever name so I will use this one. :silly:

To start at the begining. Five years ago one of my brothers had decided not to cut his hair while he was in High school. So when he got his hair cut after graduation the whole family did to. I went from BS to ear lenth. Two years after that my other brother did the same thing so I cut my hair then also, going from bs to ear lengh again. One year later I was the model for a friend at her state boards. She did a 90% hair cut on me. Since then I have not had anything done to my hair. It is now at BS lengh. I think that it is 25 inchs but that is hard to messure by your self.

4-4-04 I was looking for a different way to braid my hair and found that I did not want to cut my hair for I while. I want to see how long it will get. So I went looking for a way to make my hair not so dry and found you all. I decided to start a Hair Journal so that I know what I have done to my hair. Other wise I would forget.

4-5-04 Well If I am going to have long hair I need new toys for it. So I went shopping.

4-7-04 Washed hair. Well I first put some conditioner on my hair from the ears down and washed the scalp with shampoo. I then conditioned it. I then braided it wet.
I used: Biolodge Detangling conditioner and Biolodge Normal Shampoo.

4-8-04 Combed hair and brushed it with a BBB (boar brisle brush). I then put the top part in a bun and left the rest hang loose. A few hours later the
loose hair was knoghty. I finger combed it a put it in a braid.

4-10-04 Washed hair with Biolodge Detangling conditioner and Biolodge Normal Shampoo. Then went and got a 1/2 inch trim.

It is neat to note that my hair looks longer when wet.

4-12-04
Washed hair with Biolodge shampoo and then did a apple vinger rinse (4oz vinger 28 oz water, warm) and then conditioned twice. I left the conditioner in my hair for 10 min. Then I wraped my wet hair in a towel and went to bed.

4-13-04
This morning when I combed my hair it seemed very dry. I put it up in a bun and went to work, I was running late. I think that I will deep condition my hair tonight and see what happens.

I got home and decided to try and see if I could take pictures of my hair. Of the two mirrors I have one that does not get enough light and the other one my hair is just a little to long for. I will have to fix this. Any way I was playing with my hair and it still felt a little dry. I left it down for five hours with no nots!!!! Wow! I think that I will do a viniger rinse one a month now. I put a little jojoba oil on my ends and braided my hair before I went to bed.

4-14-04
My hair did not feel dry this morning, I guess that the oil worked. I tried to put it in a knot bun but my hair is not quite long enough. :( It is now in a normal bun with only two hair sticks holding it up. I noticed that the 4 inch hair stick I have is not big enough to hold up my hair. :silly:

4-15-04
Washed my hair and then used Aussi 3 min con.I left that on for 20 minutes. Then rinsed it out. I let my hair air dry.

4-16-04
I put my hair up in a french braid.

4-17-04
I left my hair up in the braid that I did on the 4-15-04.

4-18-04
When I unbraided my hair today and the scalp was oily. I think that this is because I had not brushed it last night. I washed it with a half water, shampoo solution and con. with biolage detanger. and then air dried.

My hair is 23 inchs when dry and 24.5 inches when wet.

My hair was dry this morning, I wonder why. Anyway I put around 2 teaspoons of Jojba oil in my hands and rub in a little to get it warm and then put it on the bottem part of my hair. I have my hair up in a bun held with a hair stick today.

4-20-04
Put hair up and that was about it.

4-21-04
Washed my hair, and conditioned it with a mixture of half honey hafe conditioner. Air dryed it.

4-22-04
I don't think that I got all of the honey out. My hair is extra tangly and feels strange. Opps. My hair this morning was very curly, curlyer than normal. Hmm I wonder if it is because of the honey or the fact that it is getting ready to rain here.

4.23.04
Washed hair. Well I first put more honey and con. on my hair and left it there for 30 minutes. Then I rinsed it out and used about half a cup of vinager on my hair. Then shampooed and conditioned again. I air dried my hair.

4.24.04
I got two long thin scarfs. I precieded to pay with them and my hair for a few hours. I have come to the concution that my hair is not quite long enough to do what I really want to do. My hair did not feel dry.

4.25.04
The hair near my scalp feels oily. I have it in a duch braid today. It is just long enough now that when I am driving I have to flip the end over my sholder. Other wise the scruncy bothers me.

I am thinking that I like using the honey with the conitioner but I will only do this every once in a while. And I will do it as a deep contionding treatment.

Yes, I know this is truly exicting reading, anyway.

I went to my brother's graduation last week and I had really curlly hair. The just a little bit of hummity in Spokane WA. It was so cool. I almost got the cage braid to work the way I want it to.

My hair did not go flat as fast as I thought it would when I got home, it was very surprising. It was raining in Colorado Springs.

When I did my hair on Sunday I sprits it with a mixture of water and Bliss. my hair smelt Chololaty  . I did not have near as many fly aways and I had been wering a hat.

05-17-04
Sprit my hair with the water Bliss mixture. Right now 2 hours latter my hair still smells faintly of Coco.

The bliss mixture lasted around 5 hours. I did it!!!! I did a crown braid!!! Happy dance!!! Well it is not one I would go to work with but it is the best I have ever done. It looked like crown braid!!! It also held though me sleeping on it.

5-18-04

Did my hair in a french braid and the folded it up with a barret to hold it.

At work to day I went in to a building that is being built, meaning that I had to wear a hard hat. It did not fit first try. I had to take down the braid to get it to fit. At least I was not wearing a bun.

Put oil and water on my hair, made a bun and then went to bed.

5-21-04

I think that I washed to much with the shampoo to get the oil out. Conditioned well. Put damp hair up in a bun. I am using this really cool bun holder my mother left last time she visted. Lots of flyaways.

I got my avator to work! Happy Happy Joy Joy!!!

I got the henna I ordered in last week. Last night I tried a little on some hair from a brush and There was not much of a difference, most likely because I mixed the henna with the mixture I had been using to oil my hair. I am putting a little bit of henna that is mixed with hot water on some more hair from my brush. We shale see what happens. I don't think that the henna is going to do all that much to my hair. I have very dark brown hair.

I hennaed my hair on 5-30-04. I used hot water and a little bit of oil. It was on my hair for only 3 hours. After a rinsed it out I slathered it with conditoner, and rinsed some more. I don't think that I had enough henna, I seem to have spots that did not get done. :silly:

Monday, 5-31-04 I put my hair into a braid and whent about my day. By that night my hair was feeling icky, I think this was because I did not use shampoo the day before.

6-1-04
CWC. Put hair up in bun. I washed untill the water ran clear, there was some henna that did not get out the day before. Put hair up in bun. Depending on what lighting there is the henna is noticable.

I have noticed that sence I henned my hair is curlyer and a little dryer. I have taken to sprizzing my hair with a mixture of water and jojoba oil before I do anything with my hair.

I washed my hair last night. I am using a new conditioner now, V5 oasis. I have my hair half down. To see how long I can stand it and to see how tangley it gets. It seems to me the the henna has faded from my hair. I don't see much of it any more.

My hair lasted down half of the day, Longer than most times I have tried. The henna has pretty much faded from my hair. I think that this was because I did not have it every where and it was on for only 3 hours and I did not use any lemon juice. I am thinking about doing it again and better right before I go an vist my Mom in July.

CWC and rinsced with vinager. I tried to do a low bun this morning but I did not like the way it felt against my neck. I don't think that it helped that my hair was wet. When I got to work I french braided it.

The conitoner that I used on the 10th caused my head to itch and hurt a little. :wail: I got some benadrill and that seemed to have helped.

Well since the conditoner episode I have been shedding a lot more that I used to. :-( I think that I will at this time just go back to what I was using. The biolodge shampoo and conditioner.

On Sat. here it was misty and drizzly all day and it made little ringlest with alll of my flyaways.
