I can't believe I am actually thinking about building a small house-not with a contractor, just me, hubby and kiddos. Since, I started growing my hair out seriously, I just seem to have a new found well of confidence in my creativity. I have always been creative, just had a lot of things that were "off limits." Since, I am a warrior it could have something to do with my age, too! What d'ya think guys and gals?

I'm equally lacking in creativity when my hair is long or short. ;)
Cool that you're thinking of building a house! A lot of work, no doubt, but very satisfying when you're done, I would imagine.

I've been making stuff my whole life - I made Barbie apartments from a refrigerator crate when I was 9 - complete with curtains and stuffed furniture. I make teddybears and dolls, I sew, quilt and cross stitch. I love to put together beautiful gift baskets and presents - I have decorating on the cheap down to a fine art!
< enough horn blowing there? I'll shut up now>
I've been a creative person long haired or short haired - my first BS was in graphic design and I not only had short hair, I had several different hair colors, and several different styles.
Building a house is a huge project, that requires a lot of different disciplines and it's awesome that you've tapped into the wellspring of creativity!
I think that deciding to make your own dwelling has broken the chains - your age is part of it - it allows the "maturity" factor to come into play - I'm old enough to build a house - I'm old enough to create any durn thing I want!
Please keep us posted on the process - and best of luck! Be as creative as possible - and remember it's your house - DON"T SETTLE!

Of course, deciding to grow your hair long because it's something you want means you're being true to yourself rather than conforming to what you "should" look be like or look like. That would make anyone feel more creative.

I'm creative with either short or long hair, but I think Melusina has a great point!

Oh I really agree with that statement. I've been so happy since growing my hair long again and it's extended to other areas of my life. R I'm not comfortable with myself when I have shorter hair. The dissatisfaction with my hair takes over everything. I've always been a crafty person who loved to make things my way. Perhaps long hair fits my image of the artsy-fartsy hippie chick person I think I am.
